| Yokefellow House Retreat & Renewal Center |
Founded in 1960 and given to a board of trustees as a non-profit organization, Yokefellow House was a dream made real by Bob (still active) and Naomi Pickering (now deceased). The gift of their barn together with the gifts and labor of many area men and women became the lovely Yokefellow House within a year. Their leadership across the years has brought national and international leaders to the site for 1-3 day retreats and conferences. All funding continues to be through private and corporate gifts as well as fees for use.
In recent years many groups have found the Yokefellow House an ideal setting: area churches, colleges, businesses, professional conferences, and 12-step programs. All have found the facility excellent for daylong or overnight or weekend gatherings where concentration and relaxation can go hand in hand. Some groups have currently made reservations for an annual or quarterly meeting while regular weekly bookings also have been made. Our central air conditioning makes summer stays refreshing and comfortable. Location and contact:YOKEFELLOW HOUSE RETREAT & RENEWAL CENTER |
