THE MAUMEE VALLEY CAR CLUB has been active in the Defiance community since 1958. Many of the club's 40 members proudly display and drive cars from the era of their youth that are now beautifully restored Classics.

For the past 13 years the club has hosted an annual car show to benefit area charities. "Engines Revvin' 97" attracted 350 vehicles to Defiance's Pontiac Park in late June. Proceeds of $2,000 went to Sarah's House bringing the club's total charitable contributions to more than $25,000.

Club Meetings are held monthly at Barney's Diner alternating between the second Tuesday (July, 1997) and the second Wednesday (August, 1997) to accommodate members' working schedules. The Maumee Valley Hot Rodder is the club's member publication.
