- Proposed site Fort Defiance reconstruction. This area had been developed by Army Engineers during the mid 1970's. Two long channels representing the Maumee and Auglaize rivers were cut out. The earth from the channels was used to construct a representation of the high point of land at the confluence of the two rivers where the fort once stood.
