Charlie's on the Road carries on the tradition of fine dining at the corner of Clinton and First Streetin Defiance, Ohio. For 55 years, this corner has been the place to meet friends and have a greatmeal. Tip Top Grill was started in 1951. later They opened a restaurant in the basement. it was known as The  Black Lantern.The catering branch of Charlie’s was named Charlie’s on the Road in 1998.
