Cooper Community Library in Oakwood, Ohio

The Cooper Community Library is the third branch library of the Paulding County Carnegie Library system.  It was established in 2000 when the former "Oakwood Public Library" merged with the county library system. The library was opened as a branch via a cooperative effort between the Oakwood Library Association, the Village of Oakwood and the Paulding County Carnegie Library. In September 2007, the branch was moved a block south and reopened as the "Cooper Community Library" in a storefront building donated by the Cooper family.

The CCL provides popular reading material in a variety of formats as well as books on tape, large print titles, reference titles, a collection of award-winning children’s books, materials for young adults, and magazines. The branch library is equipped with computers and Internet access. The library maintains an extensive local history and genealogy department for the village. Oakwood Library Association: The CCL has an active group of dedicated volunteers who support the library by providing the building and supporting library programs and services. For information about becoming a member contact the library.
