The business was founded in 1948 by Harold Strait, one of the most prominent and respected real estate figures of Defiance County.Strait started Strait Realty in the second story of the old Woolworth Building in downtown Defiance. The office moved downstairs to 503 Clinton Street in 1950 and to its present location at 509 Fourth Street in 1962. In 1984 , Strait sold to Tom Potts and Larry Fillinger. The business then became affiliated with Century 21 in 1986.Strait Realty enjoys an excellent working relationship with local financial institutions, attorneys, appraisers, surveyors, title companies and property inspectors.The business is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until noon and other hours by appointment.
