AVOCATES FOR BASIC LEGAL EQUALITY, INC. (ABLE) is a non-profit law firm which provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income individuals and groups to achieve equal opportunity, equality, and self-reliance in our community.

The Defiance office of ABLE primarily handles cases which involve domestic violence, homelessness prevention, access to government benefits and health care. Education and training in these areas are also offered to residents as well as professionals.
